DHHS Hearing on Control of Radiation October 26.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services will hold a public hearing on October 26 to listen to comments on proposed changes to the regulations related to the control of radiation. These changes are found in Nebraska Administrative Code Title 180, Chapters 1,2,13, and 24.

Most of the proposed changes reflect requirements for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, which requires Nebraska's regulations to be compatible with the federal program. The is on Thursday, October 26, at 9:00 a.m. CDT, at the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln, 301 Centennial Mall South, lower level conference room C.

Those interested in the hearing are encouraged to submit written comments or to attend and comment at the hearing. Written comments must be postmarked or received by 5:00 p.m. CT the day of the hearing, and should be emailed to DHHS.Regulations@nebraska.gov, faxed to 402-742-2382, or sent to DHHS Legal Services, 301 Centennial Mall South, P.O. Box 95026, Lincoln, NE 68509-5026.
