Watson to Rehab Knee At Home
A Nebraska judge is allowing former Creighton basketball star, Maurice Watson, Jr, to travel to his hometown of Philadelphia to rehabilitate his knee, even though he's charged with first-degree sexual assault in Omaha.
Reports say Watson was ordered Wednesday by a Douglas County District Court to stay at this parents' house in suburban Philadelphia when he is not receiving treatment. Watson injured his left knee in January and had surgery in Philadelphia on February 6.
A 19-year-old Creighton student has accused Watson of sexually assaulting her February 4. He is out of jail on a $75,000 bond. Creighton has banned Watson from campus.
The Bluejays play Rhode Island in the NCAA Tournament in Sacramento, California tomorrow.
