Sherri Renee Tucker, 53, of Taylor, Nebraska passed away February 8, 2017 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in the Southwest Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Assembly of God
Church in Taylor, Nebraska on Thursday, February 16, 2017.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hitchcock Funeral
Home in Burwell. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer
Sherri was born September 28, 1963 in Visalia, California to Michael and
Marilyn (Jones) Casper. When she was a teenager she moved with
her family to Kansas. She acquired her GED and was later
married. This union had two sons. They were later
divorced. Sherri attended Allen County Community College, while
attending she met Dewey Tucker livestock judging. They were
married on March 16, 1990 in Goodwell, Oklahoma. They worked at
various ranches in the sandhills. They resided in Taylor for
over ten years. Sherri worked at several different jobs during
Sherri enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing and especially her six
grandchildren. She was always faithful to the churches she
Sherri is survived by her husband, Dewey Tucker of Taylor, Nebraska.
Five children, John and Christina Covey of Wichita, Kansas, Michael
and Mindy Covey of Humboldt, Kansas, Ryus Tucker of Burwell,
Nebraska, Katelyn and Quincy Bennett of Kearney, Nebraska and Shiann
Tucker of Broken Bow, Nebraska. Six grandchildren. Her
dad Michael and his wife Lavern Casper of Moran, Kansas. Her
mom, Marilyn and her husband Don Richardson of Junction City, Oregon.
Two sisters, Michelle and Tim Baker of West Bank, British Columbia,
Canada and Maggie Munoz of Portland, Oregon and a half-brother, Jimmy
Casper of Moran, Kansas.
Sherri was preceded in death by her grandparents and an aunt, Patty Trent.
