Bryce D. Nekuda age 78 of Broken Bow formerly of Grand Island, died Sunday May 14, 2017 at the
Brookestone View Care Home in Broken Bow.
Funeral services will be held on Friday May 19, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Loup County Event Center at Taylor, Nebraska with Pastor Mark Stones officiating. Burial will be in the Kent Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 18, 2017, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
Bryce D. Nekuda was born on February 27, 1939 at home near Sargent, Nebraska to Charlie and Dora Marie (Jennings) Nekuda. Bryce attended School in Taylor and later graduated from Taylor High School. He was married to Carolyn Kay (Hall) on April 28, 1960. The family lived in Ord, St. Paul, Loup City and Grand Island. Bryce worked for 35 years as a butcher at Skagway in Grand Island. Bryce retired and moved to Sargent and later to Broken Bow to be near his children.
Mr. Nekuda enjoyed hunting and especially fishing. Louie L'Amour books and Husker Football was also
enjoyed by Bryce. His greatest enjoyments in life were his grandchildren.
Bryce is survived by his son Clint (Amanda) Nekuda of Broken Bow, a daughter Yonda Nekuda-Cordiner of Omaha, nine grandchildren; Corey Janulewicz, Chasity Janulewicz Konu, Sabra Ditter, Gage Cordiner, Kyrie Nekuda, Taylor Nekuda, Kiara Nekuda, Aduken Nekuda, Archer Neduda and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; Lyle, Charlie Jr., Dick and Donald, and his
sister Charlene Lola.
