James V. “Jamie” Bloom, 31, of Ord passed away on Thursday, July 06, 2017, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017, at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Pastor Rob Pearson will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to Make A Wish Foundation or the Children’s Hospital in Omaha. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
James V. “Jamie” was born July 5, 1986, at Ord, Nebraska to Russell and Janiece (Grim) Bloom. Jamie was raised in Ord and graduated from Ord High School in 2007.
Due to health reasons Jamie has made his home at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell since 2012.
Jamie was an avid Husker Fan. The highlight of his life was meeting two Husker players, Taylor Martinez and Lauren Cook. Jamie enjoyed all kinds of music, watching movies and camping. Jamie was an easy going guy and will be remembered by his sense of humor.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Jan and Gregg Wetzel of Ord; his father and step-mother, Russ and Annette Bloom of Scotia; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Tony and Cristy Bloom of Eufaula, Alabama and Ryan Bloom and his significant other, Kelly Urbanovsky both of Ord; step brothers and their wives, Adam and Kelsie Bloom of Ord, Tye and Sam Bloom of Scotia, Nathan Wetzel of Ord and Zach and Kelcey Wetzel of Rapid City, South Dakota; a step-sister, Natasha Bloom and fiancé Morgan Miller of Tryon; grandfather, Ed Bloom of North Loup; and grandmother and step-grandfather, Darlene and Ray Hill of Scotia; and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two infant twin brothers, Kyle and Curtis Bloom; and his grandparents, Jim and Julie Grim.
