Mary Jane Tacl, 72, of Burwell passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at the Ord First United Methodist Church. Reverend Stefanie Hayes will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Family. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mary Jane was born September 6, 1945, at Loup City, Nebraska to Arthur and Lucille (Hunt) John. She was raised in the Springdale area of Valley County where she received her early education at Springdale Country School and graduated from Ord High School.
On March 21, 1989, Mary was united in marriage to Louie Tacl at Garden City, Kansas. She worked in the dietary department at the high school in Salina, Kansas for four years. The couple returned to Nebraska and Mary worked at the Ord Hospital in the dietary and laundry departments and also at the Burwell Community Health Center until her retirement.
Mary enjoyed the outdoors; boating, fishing and hunting and also liked sewing, gardening and flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Louie of Burwell; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Jamie Siegel of Litchfield; two daughters and sons-in-law Marla and Brian Seamann of North Platte and Jill and Kevin Racicky of Ansley; step children, Eric and Jana Tacl of Blanchard, Oklahoma and Shannon and Tracy Shuck of Chadron; a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Ginny John of Ord; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and James Proskocil of Plattsburg, Missouri; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents.
