Letha E. Morrow, 87, of Ord passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the Valley View Senior Village in Ord.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the Scotia United Methodist Church. The Reverend Toni Nolze will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Scotia. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Ord Food Pantry, Valley County Historical Museum or the Ord Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Unit. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Letha Edna was born July 10, 1930, the 10th of 14 children to Harvey and Mary Carrie (Plessel) Sowers at Ord, Nebraska. She was raised in Ord where she received her education.
On March 28, 1947, Letha was united in marriage to Victor Morrow at Smith Center, KS. The couple spent most of their married life on the farm in the northwest area of Greeley County, Nebraska. In 1994, they moved into Ord. The couple was married for 66 years when Vic passed away on November 30, 2013.
Letha graciously donated 18 gallons of blood through the American Red Cross.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles and Karen of Topeka, KS and Donald of Ord; a daughter, Linda Patrick of Holdrege; five grandchildren and their spouses, Travis and Tina Patrick of Bartlett, Tina and Corey Wiese of Holdrege, Michelle Morrow and Bethany Morrow both of Orange County, CA and Jesse Morrow and his significant other, Rachel Sheppard both of Tehachapi, CA; five great-grandchildren, Zane, Alec, Cade, Clay and Brooklyn; two sisters, Grace Sowers of Grand Island and Stella Hans of Lincoln; a brother, George Sowers of Los Angeles, CA; a sister-in-law, Lois Swanson of Ericson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vic; a son, Victor Morrow, Jr. ; six brothers and four sisters.
