Louie F. Tacl, 65, of Burwell passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the Valley County Health System Hospital in Ord.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018, at the Ord First United Methodist Church. Reverend Stefanie Hayes will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Visitation will
be on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Family’s Choice. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Louie Frank Tacl was born March 10, 1952, at Kearney, Nebraska to Frank and Irene (Vocke) Tacl. He was raised in Hazard and received his education at Hazard and graduated from Litchfield High School. Louie received a degree in Diesel Mechanics from Western Tech School in Englewood, Colorado.
In 1972, Louie married Sheila Riessland. To this union two children were born, Eric and Shannon.
Louie worked as a diesel mechanic and truck driver while living in Grand Island and Hazard, Nebraska and Garden City and Salina, Kansas.
On March 21, 1989, Louie was united in marriage to Mary John at Garden City, Kansas. The couple resided in Kansas then returned to Nebraska. Mary passed away on September 9, 2017.
Louie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He also liked tinkering and coin collecting. Louie admired John Deere Tractors and John Wayne.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Jana Tacl of Blanchard, Oklahoma; a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Tracy Shuck of Chadron; four grandchildren, Haleigh and Keegan Shuck, and Blaze and Brynlee Tacl; a great-granddaughter, Tyleigh Mae Doescher; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Ginny John of Ord, and James and Pat Proskocil of Plattsburg, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; and a sister, Roseline Tacl.
