Randy Lee Scott, 64, of Taylor, Nebraska died February 7, 2018 at the Valley County Health Systems
Hospital in Ord, Nebraska.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in
Burwell, Nebraska. Pastor Dennis Davenport and Pastor Alan Petersen
will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the Loup County Ag
Society. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of arrangements.
Randy was born January 10, 1954 in Palmdale, California to Eugene and Frela (Hay). He graduated from
Palmdale High School. When he was fourteen he would get on a plane
and fly to Iowa to work with a carnival during the summer. Randy was
a professional motor cross racer and a welder in California. He
traveled with a carnival and this is where he met Ada Wilson. They
were married two weeks later on October 18, 1975 in Sargent,
Nebraska. Randy and Ada traveled around on a Carnival route
together. They later moved to Taylor, Nebraska. Randy then started
driving his truck.
Randy enjoyed his popcorn and snow cone stand visiting with people and making them happy. He liked to play games with his grandchildren.
Ada died on February 18, 2015.
Randy is survived by two children, Tonya and Dale Lakin of Burwell, Nebraska and Adam Scott of Lincoln,
Nebraska. Four grandchildren, Wyatt Worm, Shyann Worm, Dominic
Williams and Randy Scott and a brother, Jeff and Marie Scott of
Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and his wife.
