Judy was born June 20, 1958 in Burwell, Nebraska to Everett and Frances (May) Molesworth. Her mom passed away when she was 16, and her dad later married Barbara Usasz. Judy went to a country school until 8th grade and then graduated from Burwell High School in 1976. She married Gene Thoene in 1977 in Burwell, NE.
Jude later married Brent Turek on January 14, 1994 in Burwell where they raised their family and taught them the important values in life, like hard work and love for the Lord. Jude and Brent enjoyed traveling and she especially loved hiking in the Colorado mountains. They also spent a week in Florida, savored time at the Spearfish Lodge in SD, and loved the Redwoods in Oregon. They were getting ready to go to New Orleans, LA in May and had a vacation to Cancun planned for December. The time they spent together will forever be treasured by her husband.
Jude worked hard all of her life, as a young girl breaking horses on the family ranch and then later as a secretary for Loup Valley Alfalfa for many years, and currently for Jeffres Sand and Gravel and Burnham Waste Management. She was vital to every business, loved her work, and truly cared about all of their customers.
In her youth she enjoyed being outside on the ranch and riding her Honda
Trail 90 motorcycle in the hills. She continued her love of horses
throughout all of her life.
Judy was a loving wife, proud mom, and generous grandma. She had an endless amount of energy and was extremely active in life. One of her many passions was riding her bike, and would ride 20-30 miles/day, in almost any weather. She always said that her time spent biking was her time with God, and she was very dedicated to that, as she was our Prayer Warrior. Jude always looked for special gestures to make and gifts to give to others, and she had a true servant’s heart.
She was so proud of her kids and their accomplishments and was looking forward to watching Tanner graduate college with his Civil Engineering Degree and Caden get married in New Orleans in May. Jude was always at her grandkids’ events and especially loved watching them play sports. They were her special treasures, and she always had a smile, hug, and bag of cookies for them after every game.
Jude is survived by her husband, Brent Turek of Burwell, Nebraska; four children, Shawn Thoene and Asia of Grand Island, NE, Amber and Levi Williams of Burwell, NE, Caden Turek and fiancée Allie of Omaha, NE, and Tanner and Brittany Turek of Omaha, NE; and six grandchildren, Jase, Nikia, Natalie, and Jordan, and Adysen and Braxton. Two brothers, Carl and Linda Molesworth of Burwell, NE; John and Doris Molesworth of Ft. Morgan, CO and two sisters, Carolyn and Gene Bolli of Valentine, NE; and Jan and Tucker Steele of TX, as well as many other family members and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Anna.
Jude is now peacefully in the arms of her Lord, but leaves her family and friends to mourn the loss of a very special woman in all of our lives. She instilled her faith in her children and we take comfort in knowing she was saved and will be with God. ~Until we meet again…we love you. “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Proverbs 31:10 and 25-31.
‘An angel lived among us, a gift from God above. She showered us with kindness, and shared with us her love.
