Sharon A. Boe, 77, of Gibbon formerly of Elyria passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at the CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church in Ord, Nebraska. Pastor Douglas Johnson will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Wilson Cemetery at Vale, South Dakota. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warriors, St. Jude’s or The Shriners. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Sharon Ann was born May 28, 1940, at Chambers, Nebraska to Hale and Thelma (Cooper) Osborn. She was raised in Winner, South Dakota where she graduated from high school in 1958. Sharon continued her education at Arthur Valley School of Cosmetology graduating in 1959.

On October 20, 1967, Sharon was united in marriage to George Boe at Belle Fourche, South Dakota. To this union, four children were born, Jeff, Lisa, Brad and Allen.

Throughout their 50 years of marriage, George and Sharon resided in several western states including South Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, Idaho and Arizona. Sharon was a licensed beautician and operated her own beauty shops in South Dakota. The couple also owned a campground, pizza parlor and restaurant. Their last business, Elyria Gardens was her favorite.

Sharon enjoyed music and was a wonderful pianist and artist. She was a member of the Ever Busy Club. Sharon loved her family most of all and was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, George Boe of Gibbon; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeffery Boe of Neosho, MO, Bradley and Stefanie Boe of Marana, AZ and Allen and AnnDrea Boe of Gibbon; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Roy Farrens of Elyria, NE; a sister, Debbie Ryan of Ord, NE; a special nephew, Trevor Ryan of Tucson, AZ; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
